grounds can do tricky things..

by wykydjuggalo » Mon Jun 11, 2007 12:50 am

It works now, i forgot to scrape away the paint on the ground, thanks for the help.

by wykydjuggalo » Mon Jun 11, 2007 12:15 am

its, just not doing anything, other than the lights on the amp dimming

Read the how to set gains with a dmm in the FAQ threads: http://www.caraudiocentral.net/forums/showthread.php?p=91950#post91950 check using AC Volts 1)probe positive 1) probe negative... and double check your ground... You may have enough of a ground to power it up, but not enough to support it, is it going into protect or just not doing anything?

exactly how do i do that, I'm relatively new at checking amps, been hooking them up for years for friends but never really had to check em after that

by cargodz » Sun Jun 10, 2007 11:59 pm

Have ya checked the output(s) on the amp with a dmm?

And no it wouldn't, sorry just got up and didn't quite register till after I typed it :p

just checked the remote wire again, all is fine with it, i just can't figure this out, the amp has been stored inside the house for a couple months now but it was workig fine when i unhooked i, could the cap be part of the problem.

by wykydjuggalo » Sun Jun 10, 2007 11:40 pm

I went and bought all new rca wires, the remote wire is fine i've checked it several times just to make sure. the amp wouldn't power up without it would it?

start by checking your RCAs and remote wire
