I traced the RCA cable all the way up, and it ends in the middle of my front pax threshold, where it's soldered to 2 wires in the big harness down there. Regarding the HU, I do have multiple RCA's, 1 pair for the front, 1 pair for the rear, but only a single plug for the subwoofer.

Are you sure they didn't install a loc in the trunk off of the rear speakers?

And If you want to run multiple amps off of a H/U with only 1 set of RCAs, you have 2 options... The cheaper/ easier way is to run a Y connector, but the better sounding way is to run the RCAs through a crossover.

Another follow up question. I finished installing the speakers and amp, and everything works/looks great, problem is, due to idiot (Circuit City) installation of my original sub (stupid), my sub RCA's no longer carry a signal. I'm pretty sure this is because they spliced my $50 RCA cable into some part of my stock wiring harness. My HU has a sub output, but it is only 1 RCA jack. I know this will be an easy answer, but do I just plug in 1 RCA, or do I use a Y connector?

Thanks again

George

As for setting up your amp(s), using an O-scope is actually the best way, but a dmm is the most affordable (heck I don't even have an O-scope... although I'm sure I'll break down and buy one some day) :thumbsup
I have a connection with a guy who has one, will probably drag it out again to set up this amp. I finished running all the wire today, ordered 50', came about 3' short, so i'll have to do a little splice and dice, which pisses me off. Nobody warned me about the terrors of running speaker wires in cars, took me 6 hours to do the two front channels. Amp arrives tomorrow, so hopefully I can cut the speaker mounts and get everything working.

Thanks for the help!

I have noticed the same thing about alot of stuff on ebay. But I am alright buying from a store online as long as they offer a warranty.

I've had my sub setup hooked up to an oscilloscope, and I never clipped it, even a good bit past what I normally have it at, so I think this one should be good to me.

A lot of us here a favorable to Hifonics stuff on here as they do make very good amps ;)
Only downfall being that Hifonics stuff is all over ebay and other sites that aren't authorized to sell it, and although you may get a stellar deal if something gets screwed up you're stuck with a paper weight :p

TXI-4406

Seems like a good all-around amp. I'm connecting it to DLS 425 speakers, which I think should produce a nice, clear sound.
