Thanks for your help guys.

Just sold my car, so it's gonna have to wait a while before it goes in, oh well!

Only reson for centering the sub in that application would be cosmetics. Posistion of the woofer on that plane in that enclosure will make no difference in SQ or the SPL.

You'll be fine with the sound, but if you don't like the look just remake it.
Some of the custom installs I've done and seen are the goofiest box shapes you've ever seen, but they still pound :)

I say you are fine...pound that thing like a milkmaid does butter

I have one in a 2.8 cu ft ported box right now. It's decently loud and it sounds very good. Very good sub for a daily driver if you don't want it too loud but like it to sound good.

im spl cases its better to have the sub closer to the port.

But a nice clean hole is a good hole
ummm.........yea but every now and then a messy ragged hole will still get it done.........

It doesnt need to be on center or anything...

But a nice clean hole is a good hole ;)

Should be fine. I am no guru, but accoustically I do not think it makes much difference. if it does, I would certainly be interested in how it does, and why.
