Play with the fuses.

You will know when it draws past it, it will blow.

by Bwcad1 » Fri Dec 09, 2005 7:39 am

u think that 100 amp fuse will be enough? i run it all day everyday on 100 amp fuses and ive seen guys run theses amps at one ohm with a 40 amp fuse, for 3 seconds. so im guess 100 should be plenty for short bursts.

by Ryan from Ohio » Fri Dec 09, 2005 7:36 am

Should be fine for short bursts of 30 seconds.

You will have to fuse it accordingly though....

well its not under the plexi yet but it has 8 fans cooling the rack maybe ill cut the piece of plexi to fit loosely to cause it to create a cooling tunnel.

any word on my bass knob light? as far as i can tell the knob still works but no status lights. the protect status light in the remote was out 2

i think itll be alright alot of hifonics/autotek amps even crunch can run lower ohms. i have a couple crunch amps running around that is running 2ohms bridged. id give it a try and see how it does. just make sure you watch your gains. and if it gets really hot you might have to get a cooling fan for on it.

hey experts i need your help im sure kiki would know this. I just bought that 15" MT for testing and to use as a back up woofer at comps. however its dual 1.4 ohm coils so if i run it down to .7ohm will my autotek mm2000.1D go into protect? and if so should i have someone mod it for me so it will? yea i know its one ohm stable but for a few seconds it should handle it i think. i dont want to buy a new amp. and i dont want to run the amp at 3.8ohm's as there wont be enough power. whats your reccomendations guys?
