Hey buddy, man that is all too bad, diabetes sucks, my wifes uncle has it.
I got a tore up knee too, mine dislocates, pops out and then pops back in kinda like what bill was saying, get it looked at.

As far as your grandma goes, you cant make her go. Maybe if she rode in the front that might help her carsickness, or maybe if you have access to a van you maybe could put her in the back and watch a movie or something to take he mind off the interstate.

I will turn in prayer requests for you guys, and just remeber we are here for you if you need us, and more than that so is God, lean on him he can handle it.

Tim

she seen two doctors, and went to the local hospital countless times...

something you dont understand about the local hospital, it's a joke...

you can't make her go to st.louis if she dont want too...

she had surgery today to open the vain, but they said it'll be 10 days before we know if it did any good or if it was too late...

I think after the 2nd doctor's I would have taken her straight to the nearest ER

We tried to take my grandma, but she refused. She gets car sick after just a few minutes and she is absolutely scared of bigger interstates and starts hyperventilating...

We took her to two different doctors and they kept assuring her that she was OK, we've tried to convince her otherwise, but she trusted the doctors :confused ..

It's a hour and a half drive up there, and it's nearly impossible to get her in the car that long.

Ya the diabetes isnt any fun. My Dad has that and Ive seen a lot of changes in eating habits and drinking (no more beer). Im pretty sure Glass has diabetes also. We all know hes now on his second kidney. So not all is grim my friend.

With your Grandma thats not good. I would look into suing that local doctor. They should of known better. But also your family needs to be more proactive. If my foots turning black and my doctor told me to prop it up I would be after a second opinion asap.

The knee thing isnt any good. if you got insurance use it. I fell 6 years ago into a metal shipping box. I still have a tumor of some sorts on the back of my leg that gets sore from time to time.

Sorry to hear about all the problems... I'll keep ya in our prayers.

Ok, where to start...
First of all, my mom has been a diabetic for the past, oh, 20 years or so... Diabetes has made her life pretty tuff, she went 95% blind about 5 years because of it, basically she can only she faint shadows.
It also has been effecting her kidneys (a common thing with diabetics).
The last couple of years she's maintained a certain level to keep her off dialysis, and has actually been doing pretty good... And then about a month or so we found out her kidneys took a turn for the worst and she probably be on dialysis within the next 6 months.
A person can techincally live a long time on dialysis, but she has some many other health problems I fear once she goes on it things will go down hill fast...

And then theres my grandma...
My grandmas foot have been turning black (almost like frost bite) over the last 2 months or so. She's been to the local doctors and they give her some pills and tell her to prop up her feet (basically blew her off.)
We finally talked her into letting us take her to STL, the doctors up there said she had a blockage and her foot wasnt getting enough blood, and they're probably going to have to amputate it... We find out tomorrow either way...
And then theres my knee...

A year or so ago I crashed a 4 wheeler into a telephone pole, flew off and hit a tree, with my knee... I didnt go to the doctor because I didnt think it was that bad, and after a week or so it healed up, sorta...
Now every now and again it just sorta gives out, and they it'll stay sore for a week or two...

It has been feeling pretty good lately... I've been doing pretty good money wise, staying semi busy (as busy as I want to be), been spending some quality time with the family... and then...
Tonight I went over to my sisters to play with my niece, and I was walking up her steps (concrete) and my knee just gave away and I fell and busted my knee on the steps, it doesnt look that bad, but it's swallon and very sore. I guess I'll probably go to the doctors tomorrow...

Image
This on top of a bunch of smaller stuff, it's just freakin wonderful... I've been in a very bad mood and depressed the last month or two, sleep has been non exsistant...
But I know that you cant really control these things, and it doesnt really matter anyways... I'm starting to not really care anymore.
