Damn! Congrats, that is like a 43% raise. That is a crazy ass raise man. Hell I got 15% and I thought I did pretty good. I hear ya on the salary thing though, I average about 15-20 hours of overtime a check and that would hurt if I went to a salaried position. Congrats again though.

My bosses were cool, they told me I was hourly, and I asked them if it would be appropriate for us to negotiate now. We negotiated, and they were quite easy with me. They did tell me no negotiation would have taken place Tuesday with my managers present. Thats what they do, said most people don't come back, of course thats why they sit still I was told. Had no prob giving me the additional.

I am happy with what I got. However negotiation is part of my job and I was put in a hard spot with my managers sitting in the room with me. When I go in tomorrow I am only asking if I am hourly or salary. That makes a difference...

I plan on asking tomorrow. If its salary I am asking for more. Only because I could make quite a bit more hourly with overtime.

congrats brent! thats a 25% raise, nobody gets that much these days! rarely anyways.
