20MHz and up are fine. tektronix makes some of the best ones.

I got a scope.. It's a p.o.s. scope, but it's a scope. Thing must be about 50 years old, maybe more.

TekTronics 310A

Just haven't learned how to actually use it....yet.

that reminds me, didn't Devin or Bill get his hands on a bunch of scopes, and was going to sell some of them?

by cargodz » Sun Sep 10, 2006 10:54 pm

Regular Price 24.99 on sale 17.58 minus my 10% discount = 15.82 :)

by cargodz » Sun Sep 10, 2006 2:29 pm

I have one. Bought it from Home Depot a couple months ago. It's alright. You don't have to turn it around for it to know the wire is live. If it gets close to a live wire, it starts beeping. At least the one I have does.
Only problem I have is I keep forgetting to turn it off. Not a bigger since it's not really using the battery unless it beeps. I know I must have left it on for a week without any problems.

Sounded good at first with the exception of having to see you strip possibly...lol

Does it let you know before or after cutting into the wires?

ouch!
