I will get some pictures tommorrow evening and post them tommorrow evening, reinsalling didnt change anything, but I thought it would be worth a try.

thanks

once again, thanks for all your help so far

if you shorted it it will stay in protect even if you just do that. when mine did it it lit both green and red then the green faded away

by DCoaty » Wed Aug 23, 2006 2:19 pm

Ill try to get some pictures for it and I have been in contact with maxxoncis also, I think it could be a short with the cheap speaker wire I used, im gonna reinstall it with just the power ground and remote and see if it lights up green first and if it doesnt I will go from their, thanks for all your input so far.

I agree with Cargodz on that one big time cause they will resolder and unsoldered or lightly soldered points and replace any of the pieces that need to be

by Bwcad1 » Wed Aug 23, 2006 9:28 am

i tested my mm at 112 watts per channel. at 5.2 ohms.

by cargodz » Wed Aug 23, 2006 9:19 am

From what I've seen the 4 channels are way overrated on power output, seems they can handle it for a while....then nothin.
It's still under warranty, send it back to Maxxonics and it'll come back better than new, cause they'll go through and test everything.

by CaptainPioneer » Wed Aug 23, 2006 6:18 am

yea i know how that is man ^^^ Ill bet its a short im beginning to think that the 4ch amps are not built as well as their class D's

by Bwcad1 » Wed Aug 23, 2006 5:57 am

i blew up an amp MM100.4 cause i was in a hurry on my truck and when i attached the right rear speaker wires and hook it all up it was fine. but then i put down the window on that door and apprently i didnt check to see if the wire was under the window and it pulled the wire right off the speaker shorted out and fried the amp. pulled the case and couldnt find any visible damage.

by Bwcad1 » Wed Aug 23, 2006 5:56 am

yea but i dont know y with no visible damage im guessing short.

Bill Ill bet that the top 2 channels or Bottom 2 channels blew out... Thats what happend with the kids I installed on... Bridged both of the 4 channels and it was working fine and then it blew out a little bit later... Spent 4ever trying to figure out what it was... If it is blown he can just send it back cause its under warrantee
