He actually didn't even meet the minimum GPA requirements for Harvard's business school where he received his Master's. But for the rich and powerful those things don't apply. The same would be true for the child of a powerful Democrat, celebrity, whomever. Unfortunately that is how things work.

No, but that would be THEIR responsiblity to go to night college or do whatever it takes for them to surport THEIR family....

I dont care if they have to scub toilets, once the test comes back positive it's time to start acting like an adult and step up to the plate...

There's goverment programs that can help with schooling and child care, they should use those to help get back on their feet and to better their situation. I'm all for goverment assitance for those who truely need it!!!! :happy055:

Who works for min. wage anyhow?

Generally jobs that pay min. wage are marketed towards young people, somebody in school looking for a little work history while making some cash while doing it.

If you're trying to raise a family on min. wage then chance are somewhere during the line YOU screwed up. MOST people who are in this situation have brought it on themselfs... Its not a difficult concept, dont have kids until you can financially surport them.

I understand what your saying, but when you raise the min wage you are also raising the poverty line. They are connected to each other, and if one goes up so does the other.

I heard a guy on the radio today saying how he thinks the min wage should be 30k a year??? Oh ya, talk about a quick way for our economy to go down the toilet. Everyone who was making just a shade over 30k who might have been working at their job for a few years to get there, just got screwed!!!

They just got demoted in effect, because they were just bumped back down to the poverty level. Price of goods and services would go through the roof, and that 30k just became what the 15k/year was earlier. Only now there are more people at this level then before.

i suppose your right... but it'd still be nice to see people able to get CLOSE to the poverty line.
