that's mostly right lotas. I forgot to mention Tuna. Tuna is really good for you too.
There are basically two types of sugars. Suctose and Fructose. Suctose being artificial sugars and Fructose being natural sugars. The natural sugars are lower on the glycemic index than artificial sugars. And, natural fruit offers a bunch of other benefits in the vitamin area and others. Don't be afraid of fruit.
I'd work in as much exercise as you can. a well developed workout. Here's what I do.
Day 1: incline dumbell presses, incline dumbell flies, military presses, forward arm raises and kickbacks. (chest, shoulders and triceps) then run at least a half hour at a very slow pace and if you're on a treadmill, run on a 1.0 incline.
Day 2: squats, leg presses, laying leg curls, leg curls, calf presses (all lower body). No running. If you did your workout right, you won't be able to run anyway. Maybe walk 10 minutes or something to stretch out a bit. But that's about it.
Day 3: Dead lifts, lat pulldowns, bent over rows, shrugs, arm curls, seated rows (back and biceps). Then run at least a half hour at a very slow pace.
Day 4: nothing. Just relax and let your body recooperate.
then start over again. You can squeeze in crunches and leg lifts where ever you feel you have the energy but don't over do it. Your muscles need to rest otherwise you're not doing yourself any good.
when you lift weights, you should probably stick to lighter weights. Lift enough weight weith each exercise so you can do two full sets of 15 reps and then do three more sets with as many reps as you can. Once you build up to be able to do three full sets of 15, then up the weight a little bit.
I do 3 sets of 8 reps. Well, once I can do two full sets of 8 I up the weight. This is why I've gained 9 pounds. However, my body fat has gone down a lot. I also don't worry about how much I eat. I just make sure I eat good stuff and drink a crap load of water. I drink grapefuit juice with meals and water all day long.
Some of the best things you can eat are yogurt, nuts (almonds), jerkey, cherries, tuna, etc.
I'm telling you. bodybuilders.com will give you all the information you need to get fit. It's a great source of information.
