I say buy both and which ever one you don't want go ahead and ship it to me... Just to show what I nice guy I am I'll even pay for half the shipping :P.

Seriously though although I'm not a big fan of JL I really think there is no going wrong with that selection. I would start looking into things like mounting size, an price. They are both high quality amps and like Ryan said you probably wouldn't hear much of a difference so I would base my decision of some of the other installation requirments... Both nice amps though, I must say it's refreshing for someone asking advice about good quality hardware instead of asking for advice between jensen and kraco (yea I'm exagerating). Let us know what you decide and good luck.

The KAR line is their entry level, made in China. I'd say the JL's over the KAR line. But I think the Special Edition line would absolutely blow away the JL's. But those are really expensive.

i rock a 300/4, and i like it. but i've never heard anything arc, damn slidell, louisiana. can't hear anything other than mainstream.

The KAR is a refreshing change.

The JL offers more flexibility overall.

If you are thinking about swapping them out you probably wont hear/get much difference on the power side of things...

Both amps utilize quality componets, thats for sure.

wow, how can you compare car audio to death and life? I simply just don't like to have what many others have in my neck of the woods. Thats why I would go with arc audio.

I'd take the JLs over the KARs, if you were talking about XXKs that would be another story, though.

i'd use the JL simply because it'll put out 1000w between 1-4 ohms and 12-14 volts... i like that. who cares if everyone loves JL... alot of people love living. should i kill myself?
