I need to get my windows tinted. i will when i get my tax returns back! But that sucks its illegal to have rear windows tinted where you guys are? only the front is illegal hear, and i'v enever really heard of someone being pulled over simply because of tint.

edit: i got a quesiton about tint.. will using my rear defrost fuck it up? i'd hate to blow all that money on tint just to have it look nasty as hell.. :(

how much does tinting usually cost?

it varies from state to state......unfortunately for tinters..to stay competetive in our area we use an expensive film but have to price it like its crap to get work.....

hey bill just come on down to ky.......i do window tint also.....we use some of the best film out there...johnson window films....its a 3 ply film so no color change also has a lifetime warranty....

its just the city theat enforces them and sets the fines. i know in some citys the fines are higher and some citys have a hole cops.

They are state laws, cities can not have a diffrent la then the state.

You also have to remember different cities have different laws. A town near me Bellevue, OH is terrible when it comes to tint. Basically, the cities do it to make more money off of tickets. I know a lady that ended up taking the stock tint of a Grand Am, because of the tickets she got from the cops. Also, when the cities have their own laws only town cops, not state or sheriff can pull you over and write a ticket for that law.
