Bah is there any way my amp be adjusted for the Re12, it seemed so perfect! $75 subwoofer that is very good haha.

i dont think you will be able to get the RE12's... i asked them about getting it changed to dual 2 and they said no go..

Really now? So does that mean I can't buy the RE12s with my amp.. or does that mean I have to get a different ohm?

bridged output to a 4 ohm load will equal the combined output at 2 ohms in stereo..

so for example, if the amp is rated for 100 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms, and 50W x 2 @ 4 ohms, bridged, you'll get 200W @ 4 ohms (but bridged it's only stable to 4 ohms, so you don't actually gain any more power this way.. it just puts everything into one speaker.)

Also, what RMS wattage am I looking at? Should I look at the 8 ohm rms wattage or the 4 ohm rms wattage?

you'll need a single 4 ohm coil sub, or a dual 2-ohm coil sub for this, if you're using a single sub.

NViejeP wrote:I see. So I probably want less ohms. Would 4 ohms be okay though or should I really taget some speakers at 2 ohms?
Less does give you more power, but it also means your amp will create more heat, putting out that power. So you need to make sure your amp can run at a lower ohm.
