ok chris,the last two nights i sat here and typed a long update on my kick panels and hit submit and then the page just turned white and nothing,it didn't post either of them,guess i need to type really quick and shorter post's huh.that sucks anyways. real quick.

those kicks that guy did ,sucked.they turned out really cruddy in my car,and the imaging isn't that great so I'm trashing them,i already started a new pair.for some reason ,you can set in the driver seat and theirs a small bit of imaging then hop in the pass/ side and theirs no imaging at all.so i can't turn the DTA all the way to the left then huh haha.

ok so the new set i am going by something i read some where else and we will see how these turn out.also the whole taping the floor off and laying out plastic to cover everything up and using almost a whole roll of masking tape,forget that.i did it this time the right way and easy way,and cleaner way,and the way where your car won't stink like fiber glass for a month.tell ya about it soon.lol ok here it goes SUBMIT NOW PLEASE!

update,subs are slamming deep low bass that shakes everything and almost lifts me up out of the seat on some beats,firing them and the port off the rear glass really helps out.and in other news….

update,building kick panels and its kicking my a$$ i copied a style that i saw installed in a WRX STI but a older model and the only WRX possibly with kicks in it anyways turns out the guy i am copying is a professional installer and I'm doing it in a way that I've never done it before and man,oh man does it suck.

hopefully at this point,they will look half way decent and at least sound pretty good,i want imaging ,i miss it.

no problem,so far i think they may be my best subs I've ever had,but I've only had them a week and they slam deep,and hit super low.not sure how they do in a sealed enclosure,i have one ready to go and may try it one day,it was for my two jl 12 w3's and the sub fits in the same hole and even has the same screw pattern,and get this chris,,,the box is 3 or 4 foot away from my car.hahaha

UPDATE!!!!!! sundown audio SA 12'S DVC 4 OHM'S ((( best subs ever ))) I've had a lot and heard a lot in my 20 plus years and the sa 12's are bad a$$ and the price you can't beat that either.i paid 399.98 for the two subs and got them in 3 days free shipping.

i put them in a nice size box,its over 4 cubes I'm not sure how much displacement the 6 inch aero port takes up but i installed it today,and there not even broke in yet,just sat in the car for about 10 minutes to adjust my h/u settings and then went to the store and back and woo there wicked deep,low,loud very low haha and there only going to get better breaking in,and plus i need to do more adjusting during the day.

ok I'm talking to myself here,haha so with the box i have in my car i have three boxes to choose from.I am weird in my ways but i am a firm believer in wedge shaped boxes over rectangle and i have a huge wedge shaped box in my car already,I'm thinking about taking the divider out,and using it,i have a bunch of pvc elbows that are 6 inches to go along with the 6 inch aero ports,I need to talk with someone and see how long of a port it needs to be.

sundown audio says there ported boxes are 1.5 - 2.0 ft^3 @ 35 hz
my wedge box is 2.125 ft but after the displacement of two 30lb subs with a displacement of 0.14ft^3 times two
brings my wedge to 1.845 and would love to use a 90 degree pvc elbow and aero part for the port.not sure what length though.

anybody ??? help ….subs will arrive tomorrow feb 6th my bd. hehe

honestly i would like to shave off 3 or 4 inches off the top because there so close to the glass,how close is too close??? anybody ?

i swear,i hate mac's i can't download software off the web,like for instance box calculators to design a box,i can't download it says that dos mode garbage because what I'm trying to download is windows stuff.

I'm no computer wiz but the stuff you have to go thru to be able to download things is a lot hassle so its not even worth trying.im trying to figure out which box would work best for my new subs.i have two boxes in the garage and incase someone reads this and can help that would be cool.

one 6 INCH AERO PORT length ??????? thats what i don't know guys,how long.ive heard if its 6 inches in DIA, it needs to be 6 inches from touching the bottom.its going to be loud in that car,so tuning wise not sure 32-33 idk.
the subs will be here on my birthday,the 6th haha.h.b to me huh

well like always if i say I'm gonna do something i do it.first thing this morning i ordered two SA 12'S DVC 4'S
went got some mdf then went by my friends shop where i had my DC AUDIO 2000 for sale but nobody bought it so i will use it.oh and i bought five sheets of sound deadener for my doors.

I have my door panels off and i covered up the wholes in the metal door and their is about 3.5 to 4 inches from where my 6.5 mid mounts in the metal part of the door and where the plastic door panel is.I am missing my kick panels so much man damn.I love imaging,i tried to see if i could mount them at an angle to try for on axis,but it would be a severe angle to achieve this.

so i guess I'm stuck for now with my miss in the doors,but i am going to cut a 3/4 inch spacer to at least get it closer to the grill in the panel.hell i might bring it all the way forward,i really don't know what would be best,i do worry about my speakers getting wet in the doors.

well guys i think I'm going to get some new subs this week,i am going to go with sundown SA 12'S dvc 4 ohm's
to replace my 12w3's.the 12w3's sound great in my sealed enclosure but i find myself reaching for the bass knob to turn it up more haha.i was going to go with 3 of them,but i figured i would try something new.i watch a lot of video's on youtube and i typed in ( SA 12'S ) thats it and their are 27 almost 28 pages of video's now if i would have written sundown subs their would probably be 30 or 40 pages.i have a DC audio 2.0k amp that actually puts out 2480 watts on a test video i saw so i will use it.

I'm going to see what they sound like sealed first for grins maybe a comparison test,but i have three boxes in my garage so I'm going to make it ported with a 6 inch aero port.whenever i build a box and it doesn't work out i take the top off and the internals out then all i have to do is make the top or front piece where the subs go,i have two of these in my garage so I'm set.and there huge they were for 15's so i cut them down to size.easy peasy.

I've been working on my truck for the past few weeks it needed some work.i have a 1995 gmc short wheel base single cab z71 with 9 inches of lift on 35 inch mud tires with a summit crate engine i installed ,its the 350 HO it has a nasty cam,true dual exhaust and recently i installed a hughes high performance trans that can handle 450 fpt.ive had the truck for 14 yrs now and put it thru hell haha
