hello i have the pioneer 80prs runing active i have hybrid audio imagine series 6.5 tweeters in sail pillar midbass in bottom of door pioneer 8604 runing my mid and highs pioneer 9601 sub am ran at a 2 ohm loadpioneer champion seris ts309 4 ohms svc i really need a front stage bad i need help thank u in advance

Yeah man once you bring the output of your base down, the whole graph should move up on the eclipse page.

That will make it easier to tune for the desired FR, then you can bring your base back up.

Eclipse cd7200 mkii Hifonics amps, focal and rainbow front stage, Dayton rear fill, RE se10s in a sealed box [changing to a ported box]. all gains were set with a multimeter.

i may sound stupid, i'm trying to learn, but i'm more of a visual learner, every time i think i'm getting the gist i'm off, thats why i keep posting pics of the eq settings im adjusting, to see if im on the right track.

if you want your subs to blend, its important to get phase right. Killing any rattles any the trunk or from behind you can help as well.

If your subs are 9db hot, you'll have a hard time blending them as well. I adjust mine all the time, about -8 on the bit one and they blend well, bass can be right up front. Once I start turning it up, the loudness of the bass becomes strong enough to localize the subs.

Keep in mind some of these imaging cues aren't the music itself, but the small subtle noises in the trim panels, and the tactile cues from behind.

EDIT:: I just realized that jeremyC addressed this above, I guess take this as a reinforcement.

Yeah dude your bass is still to loud to get a good FR reading.

Cut your bass by about 6db on the time delay page, and then do another sweep.

Roll off means cut.

So when I say roll off by 2 db an octave, I'm talking about making each octave above a certain freq quieter than the octave before it.

So if 5K is at + 4 on the chart then 10K you would want at +2 and 20K you would want at 0.

But do do that you really need to get the lvl on the base down, do the sweep, and then bring the base back in once you get the mids and highs adjusted.

Refresh my memory on your set up, and how everything is wired coming out of the head unit.

here are 2 more i setup last night, i have not saved or programmed my head unit with any yet, i am just trying to get an understanding of the freq settings, am i getting closer what your describing in either picture? or am i still ignorant and way off?

this also explains some of my bass issues as discussed in another topic.

i wasnt going to use the mic, i wasnt satisfied with outcome last time.

when you say to roll off to 2db an octave is that dropping below the flat line, or going up[hot] in db an octave?

If you want the base to blend then 9db is a little hot.

3db hot its still pretty hard to tell where its at.

6dbs you start to notice it more.

For starters get the sub dialed down, and let the mic get a better reading. See how low your reading is across the board (minus the sub)

I would cut the sub on your TA page by about 6db and run the sweep again, and then let us see what you have.

FYI thats one of the reasons I HATE the eclipse mic / white noise setup. If you have something to high it WONT give you an accurate reading.
