Two separate boxes. Neither connected by air.

Obviously the mix and match is not the preferred setup. We all know that. The customers been let in on this also. But hes obviously happy with it, its currently all installed. He is just looking for a better box to squeeze a bit more out of it.
My box does pretty good at matching the subs up. Basically the biggest difference is the CVRs peak out slightly higher than the CVXs. I may try to retune it slightly to bring them on track together. This should help eliminate any cancellation issues.
Does your box account for the differences in moving mass and suspension? did you compensate on one side of the box to make up for the lack of suspension on the CVR side as opposed to the CVX?

All I can say is that if you do build the boxes you better take pictures. :happy055:

Hopefully things work out for everyone!

I still hold to my original statement. Poor grammer, sounds like he's 17 maybe? I'd love to give him a tough car to do. I guarantee he has a buddy working at a shop somewhere that he gets all of his install info from, and I guarantee at some point, that buddy is going to get annoyed on him asking questions on how to install something into some vehicle.

Someone should email him asking what his warranty is. Ask him what is insurance is incase he ****s something up on an install, or something from his install damages the vehicle.

Under the amp rack is the battery box hiding 2 odyssey PC2150's (thanks Bill for the amp and batts)

More pics, perhaps I'll start a thread or something, I'll have to get a good hair trick vid in daylight as well.

He removed his ad on craigs list, does he perhaps know about car audio central?? lol

Well he must have realized his grammar issues, he made a completely new ad on craigs list, http://toledo.craigslist.org/ele/1107461553.html

The kid (assuming he's young, going by his poor grammar and how you describe the converstaions) sounds like a tool.

IMO, i'd tell him how it is. Make your recommendations, and tell him you WILL NOT make a box for something that isn't going to work well. It will give you a bad rap.

If he doesn't want to do it, start jacking up your costs to something he can't afford, and take any other emails or phone calls worth a grain of salt. If he does come up with the cash, sweet. But don't expect it.

After seeing how that Prime 500 was wired I wouldnt want im hooking up my amp, lol. Especially all the power he is running, on 8 ga. He wants to upgrade to 4 Ga. I told him 4 ga is only able to carry 120 amps...lol I think he said he put a 200 amp fuse on the 8 ga as the previous kept blowing.
Im hoping he goes forward with the box. I was going to help him get it installed and look over what hes got now and try to get it done right.
Sure I want to make that $200. But also I want to get the kid at least on solid ground.
Anyone would be hard pressed to steal anything from my place. I live right next door to the cop shop, literally.
Y would you want to deal with him? Or even attempt to straighten it out he is possibly a thief and idiot and you are still dealing with him?

I think i'm going to copy that ad and take out the phone number, then post it on craigslist to see how many people reply to me.
