Try swapping the RCAs also. Doesnt hurt to try and make sure its the true problem.

well, after running new wiring and installing the new speakers on the front left channel the problem is still there, so i swapped outputs and the problem followed to right speaker, its a problem in the left output of the amp. so i have to get it fixed.

Wiring seems to cause a lot of problems over the years.

Ive seen power wires run thru drilled holes in firewalls. Over time it will slice thru the shielding and BAM... lol

Screws thru wires... Common.

Phewwwwwwww.... that could have fried the amp! glad you found it though.

well i found the problem, after doing the new paneling and sealing of my drivers door i had to reroute my speaker wiring, i had rerouted them to low and when i installed the panel one of the screws had pierced the wire coating and when the car was running the wires would vibrate and rub against the screw, so i rerouted them further up repaired the wires and everything works great now.

i fully understand your point, i have been very satisfied with the sound quality of the amp, and i haven't even gotten to install my focals or make any sound adjustments its still flat. sound quality is awesome. i will end up putting a link to their website on my car site.

im not saying you are im just letting everyone know this is how it happens an assumption by someone less educated than yourself spreads rumor's of bad quality. its exactly what happened to hifonics name. Un-educated people tried to install them which they did incorrectly and the amps got a bad name.

i'm not trying to give them a bad name, i always get nervous purchasing refurb stuff, and i made an early assumption, but if you read my first post i did state the quality is excellent from the amp.

by Bwcad1 » Thu Jan 22, 2009 5:25 am

and this is how companies get a bad name :( but I'm glad you found the issue... imagine how many of these go unnoticed and people just assume it's the amp.
