WELP I GOT IT!!!!! My conical came today... Im so happy i could cry!

Well my buddy didn't even have a decent sized stock pot he could do this with and that's why he ended up going with the kettle.

Personally... I dont really think that a SS kettle is 100% necessary. Get a Good Turkey Fryer with a 8 gallon boil pot and you are set... Really as long as you take good care of it and clean it with non-corrosive cleaners you are set.

Another thing I would add... Once you go into Kegging. You almost never want to go back to bottling... I feel like ever since i started kegging that bottling just takes too long and IMHO sucks hardcore... Of course... Occasionally i will bottle half a batch or something along those lines but mostly i Keg.

What you listed there is the exact kit my buddy got for Christmas to get started (although he bought his here in town) and the guy there recommended a good kettle to boil in, so he got that too... he didn't get the Imersible chiller, but if he really gets into it... I could see him getting it later and probably like you spending a lot more money on it.

Brewing is not that expensive to get into... its kinda like Car audio in the same respect... you start off small and then sooner or later you are dumping hundreds... and sometimes thousands in my case on new equipment to make better beer...

Starter price for a real beer kid, not that Mr. Beer Crap... lets see...

thats the simplest and most cost effective one without any ingredients... but if i were you and you had the extra cash... i would also buy a Imersible chiller and a good kettle to boil in...

When I buy beer I try to get something I've never had before. Lately I've been getting the beer that comes in 1 big bottle. A few weeks back I had one called "Fin du Mor" that was triple fermented and like 12% abv.

never had abita purple haze... I only drink Michalobe Amber when there really is no selection at a bar...

I am actually making a Cherry Wheat this summer... Wheat beers are among the easiest to make and making it a Cherry Wheat is really not that hard either.

My main favorites are abita purple haze sam adams cherry wheat and blue moon and when i cant get those i prefer michalobe amber.

I do enjoy a good IPA... I will have to think of what im going to make... I def will try to save my Stout for later... Its one of my best Brews yet.
