Pioneer Premiers

I have been kickin around sub ideas for a while now. And I have finally got it narrowed down to a couple options.

I'm looking at Pioneer Premier and Ground Pounders by Crunch.

The Pioneers I'm looking at are 12's one handles 1200 watts and the other handles 3000.

I am gonna be running a Autotek SM1500 mono amp. That I am getting from Bill, should be here tomorrow.

I like the 3000 watt Premier 12, but I am afraid that the amp would run out of power and maybe damage the sub. Would that be a reasonable fear for the subs??.

Thanks,

Tim

low power will never ever hurt a sub second pioneer doesnt offer a 3000watt sub as far as i know until you get into the high end spl series

Yeah that was my bad I looked at the peak power instead of RMS. The Premiers I'm looking at are 1000 RMS.

Sounds good to me.

Don't be so sure about that. Id be willing to bet good money there pretty close both in quality and performance.

My friend bought a pair of the GP 12's I was VERY surprised, there actually pretty nice subs.. I've learnt pictures over the internet hardly ever do a product justice.

I learned that too. I guess it is just gonna come down to the one I like the best. Since opinion leads one to believe the two are gonna be pretty close.

Bill really? U are saying the premiers are on the same level as the Crunch... Man what is happening to that company... either Crunch is really stepping up to the bar or Pioneer is really slacking...

I just remember my 10" Premiers with the Nickel dust cap... damn those were great subs... I wish I still had em'
