max watts for an alt.

I'm lookin to upgrade my subs soon. I'm at 300 watts, and im lookin to go to about 800-1000 watts. At what wattage to I have to upgrade my alt. and big 3? I would imagine there is some sort of equation depending on your batt and alt. I do not want to upgrade my alt. and if the big 3 isn't that hard, i wouldn't mind upgrading it, but only if i have to.

More a question of amperage draw than wattage... I wrote an Alternator Faq that can be found in the FAQs threads that will help ya out
And as for the big 3... That you should do anyway just to help your system :)

If you have a half decent battery you will be fine.

depends as much on the amplifiers you choose as it does on your listening habits.
