Yes, but the wider you go, the longer it needs to be.

the number of subs in the box does not change the tuning if their displacement has been accounted for correct?
also do any of you have experience with those flared slot ports how do you figure the tuning frequency with these is it the same
ive seen photos of them and really like the way they look

With the round ports, you add an inch of length for each end that is flared. I don't know if it would be the same for slot ports or not. Bill would know.

There is a math formula that is a giant pain in the ass but if your radius is close to 3" then add 1" of length Per radius.

so are we. go look at my thread about my recent box design. what i said is what applies if your radius is about 3 inchs then add an inch to your port length for every flare.
