Well as most of you know Im like the only modern guy alive without a cell phone.

Im not into the whole contract thing after being burned for some cash about 7 years ago, so I went for the pre pay stuff.

Anyways. DONT BUY VIRGIN MOBILE.

I bought one last night. I mean a cell for $10. Prepaid card for $20 = 200 minutes. Thats even what the pamphlet says. Also underneath the box it says Basic Rates: 20 cents.

What it DOESNT SAY AT ALL in the entire pamphlet is that its 10 cents to virgin mobiles, 20 to anyone and everyone else.

If I would of known that I would of just bought the net10 phone, which is 10 cents a minute to everyone all the time.

Im a bit pissed about this. I know I cant get my $30 back, its gone. Now I gotta buy another phone next month... ****ers.

Yeah, I know what ya mean... We've got the Page Plus prepaid and it's 10cents a minute, but we don't keep much time on it as we only use it for emergencies... I've been talking with some people that have Revol and they seem pretty happy with it, since it's unlimited and there's no contract (just month to month)... The only real downfall that I don't like about the idea of it is the whole paying so much for the phone up front.

hell by the time you buy all your minutes and crap, you'd be better off with a contract.. my phone bill is like $60-$70 a month, unlimited text/vid/pics to anyone/network. free nights and weekends..

Theres no way in hell I would pay that kind of money per month for a cell phone.

200 minutes a month is plenty. I just decided to get one as theres been a few times I wish I had one and didnt. Not so I can have my friends call me every 5 minutes :p

Its for times of need or special situations, not the casual yickety yack that can wait till I get home.

The thing is, for most youngins, the cell phone is their only phone. Hence the larger bill. That is my only phone.

I am definately on that list... I can't stand people driving around talking and texting all the dam time... with all these bluetooth phones out now and all the accessories for phone and car... I see NO reason for it!
