Kinda need some experienced advise on whether to build a sealed enclosure or a ported one.Which seems to sound better. From what i hear sealed hits harder but ported sounds louder. Thanks in advance

its completely subwoofer compatibility based... some subs are just not made for Ported enclosures... What are you looking for? A daily driver sub where it sounds good and gets loud... or are you looking for Bill Wolf Bass where your kidneys start bleeding from the bass??
Yes these definitions are vague i know, but its really dependent on what you want and what subs you have or are going to get.

ya it rlly matters what kind of sub your working with and what kind of outcomes are you looking for. ported will be the bill wolf bass machine bass and sealed will produce a smoother bass with more quality in the lower ends

I have two earthquake dbx 10 d's and I wanted to build an enclosure that would maximize their potential. Kidney bleeding sounds good lol. What you think?

Well the DBXi's are a good all around sub that will work in almost any application... I would suggest a ported enclosure with aeroports for what you're looking for... Feed em 1000w out of a mono amp and they should get plenty loud with a good sound for ya... They won't be ear bleeding, but will do well for what they are capable of.

Most local car audio places have them, or parts express, or me
