im a radiographer i do non destructive testing
i use it to take xrays of welds i also do magnetic particle testing and acoustic emissions im supposed to know ultrasonic testing too but ive managed to get by without that. anyways i do code work most people just do corrosion work just checking for corrosion i check for alot of different things most of them should be caught by the weld inspecter but for some reason they dont. im also the guy they have no problem with being like hey see that huge lightning rod blowing in the wind on that tanker ship bigger than a football field we need you to check a weld at the top or we need you to go 1400 feet into this 42 inch pipe fun shit. right now its pretty lax actually im working at the ch2m hill fab shop most the time its outside at night but atleast my feet touch the ground. ANyways basically i get shit done and im my own boss cuz most people are scared of radiation
