Yup... Planet Audio is VERY strict about their authorized dealer policies, but from a dealers point of view... It's nice to see companies that actually are... I've actually had people try to bring equipment to me that I carry for factory warranty only to see serial numbers scratched off and all I tell them is "Sorry bout your luck!"

doesnt suck at all, you can buy lots of stuff online that doesnt have a manufacturers warranty but planet actually came and took pics of my shop and talked to me before allowing me to sell their product. as such if i install the rx or big bang line, any of the head units or video systems they come with a 3 year warranty, the zetar is 1 year but its their entry level stuff

i still dont understand why anyone would buy anything other than complete cheap crappy equipment online? can someone explain? is the money you save worth the hassle of hoping you can get it warrantied if there is a problem? the lack of tech support? the lack of dealer support? if you want to guarantee that in the future the only place youll be able to buy car audio and get quality advice from a professional is at box stores like best buy and circuit city then by all means by online. if you want to ensure that you will always have experienced installers to talk to who have a passion for mobile electronics and are interested in helping you maximize your money spent and make sure you get the most for your money then SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHOP!!!!
