Hi guys,

I'm thinking of buying a RE MT from USA. They're not popular here in the UK, people preferring the XXX or MX.

What do I need to know about these subs other than 'they are designed for ultimate SPL'?...

What box do they need to 'breath' good?

What power?

I want a 15", what's the going rate for used ones in USA??

Any advice will be most welcome.

Atm. i'm running a SX 15" in 3.71 cuft (after port displ. and sub vol) box tuned to 34hz and I like the loudness.. will the MT blow my mind? My car boot can't have a bigger box btw.

Probably just slap it in the same box.

better have a double baffle and bracing ;)

Oh and more power!

a sub is a sub. they just move air. the sx will be louder on the power you have. you really need a minimum of 3k for an mt and the mt is not designed to play music. it has a very very tight gap.

So my SX will sound better playing music on a daily setup?...

Maybe I should look into a MX or XXX then?

The MT will do music alright, but like Bill said; it won't be any louder with the power you have.
If you really want that lil pup to come to life... You gotta feed it BIG power.
Going rate for a RE MT15 here is about $899.00 with a retail of $999.99

As for your "which one?" question of the MT, XXX, or MX... It really comes down to a question of power... How much do you wanna feed it? If you wanna go 3000w+ then go MT... if you're going less then go XXX or MX... either those or the Fi BL

neither one will make you any louder.
