Sub recommendations

God, how many of these threads can I start a year :argh

Anywho, my range is between $175-$225 (shipped if possible).

My amp is 1500w rms @ 1 ohm, 750w @ 2 ohm, 400w @ 4 ohm.

I'd like to use a lot, if not most, of the potential of my amplifier.

Going for a bit of SPL this time. Single sub set-up, 12" or 15".

Talking to Ryan this morning, he recommended me getting in contact with http://www.aespeakers.com . I shot them an email, but haven't heard anything back yet.

Also recommended FI Audio. I checked out there site as well, the SSD 12 or SSD 15 both look right on.

Any other recommendations? I really wanna look around a bit before I decide on my purchase.

What about the Dayton MKIII? Definately wouldn't be using my amp to it's full capabilities though.

I've heard good things about the Dayton's. They seem to be a good sub for the money.

IIRC, the FSQ is a bit out of my range as well.

Daytons are great for the money, but I'm not sure how far you're going to get in terms of SPL and low extension as they're not high excursion monsters compared to a lot of these other woofers.

Also, any reason you're limiting yourself to 12s and 15s? Space limitations?
