Ok, so maybe I have a problem (another car)

Buddy has a 95ish grand am (coupe). Its a pretty clean little car, 4 cyl and 5 speed. I really dont like the quad fours (at all) but its really good on gas and seems to run well. I'm going to check it out a little better tomorrow evening and if it checks out ok I'm going to do some trading with him.
Right now the car has a pretty nice pioneer cd-mp3 player in it, and I believe it has some type of aftermarket coaxials in it.
Anyways, if I get it I'm going to toss in the jbl 600.1 and probably pick up a pair of cvrs or something for now, then build a good system early this spring.

I'd be more worried about the tranny than the Quad 4...
The quad 4s are one of those motors that run forever or blow up before 100K miles, so if it runs good, keep good oil in it and it'll be fine... some of those 5speed trannys mated to them are a lil testy though... stock replacement clutches don't seem to last to long in them, so if you have to do the clutch in the future get a simple stage 2 upgrade and it'll be fine.

From my experience on the beretta board,
Them Quad 4's dont last long is pushed hard. Trouble is they beg to be beat on.
Ex had one in an Achieva auto. Little peppy thing!

These guys are a bunch of drug addicts, call the cops before they tango they might get locked up for the night, let one kill the other, ones dead the others in jail for the rest of his life.. Wheres the down side?
I have no pitty for these types of people... You can call the cops all you want, they'll get locked up for the night and be back the next day cause more sh*t...
Besides I was busy trying to find my digital camera, I finally found my video camera right when the cop showed up, but I can't transfer onto my computer because I dont have the right stuff.
The good thing about these cars is theres TONS of them in the junk yard, you pull it always has about 50-100 of them, so cheap parts are to be had...
This car is pretty clean and seems to be well taken car of, plus this car is SOOOOO much better on gas then my mustang. :happy055:
