I can't believe how easy these were to open :happy055:
I didn't have to bake or even cut them open.

Most of the F Body tails are pretty easily taken apart :)

I was surprised because most tails are so hard to get open. I had to cut the 4Runners.

Plus the parking light and the side markers were plastic welded shut, had to cut those too.

So I was so excited when these just basically popped opened! These are going to be fun.

Need some red LED's? I have tons of new escalade assemblies just sitting here, doing absolutely nothing.

Those should be pretty easy to do. No load resistor needed for the rear. I had a diode installed on either the brake or tail lights (can't remember) to keep the high-mount center brake light (also LED) working properly.

Ya these are going to be fun to do I have a feeling.

If that new flasher I bought gets here, the turns will be working great! I found with the side markers, the reason it wouldn't work with an LED. The polarity changes depending if you have the parking lights on or off. So I could either have the side marker working with the lights off, or turn the LED around and have them work with the lights on.

So what I"m going to do is tap into the front turn/parking light. They won't blink opposite of each other, but that's not too big of deal.

I got 600 superflux red leds a couple weeks ago, and have been waiting to do these :)

You probabaly put the diode on the tail/brake circuit. The diode is needed to isolate the 2 from each other.

You're probably right. The diodes are still in the circuit even though I've removed the LED lights and put stock lights back in. I'm not going to out and look to make sure :) I'm not going to dismantle the back of the car just to look....

Someday, one, or both Camaros will have all LED exterior lights.

where do you get your LEDs from chris?
