Let me know what you guys think. I'm going to clean it up, fix the motor and drive it the way it is for a while.
I'm trying to decide if I want to sell my 86 gt, if I dont I'm going to put it in the garage and start building it. And if I do sell it, I'll probably paint this car and have it looking pretty good by next spring...
I'm thinking of selling everything but the 87 stang and buying a little s10 or ranger for gas milage.

Well to be honest the 87 looks like it's in good shape, but I think I prefer the body stylings of your 86 better... Just my 2 cents

The 86 is in over all better shape, but with it I want everything to be perfect. So If I build it'll end up being alot more money, which I really dont have. I think I can throw about 2,500 into the 87 and be happy with the way it looks and drives.
With the 86, it would probably be 15,000-20,000... Which would take a year probably 2 years and i would never get my money back..
I only have about 500 into the 87, so I spend a bit of money wisely and get it all back.
With the 86 I would go wild and probably lose alot if I were to every sell it...
Thats why Im thinking about selling it and keeping the 87..
Plus, I tend now to keep cars very long, I end of getting bored with them.

Yeah, thats what I want to do. I'll probably get an explorer long block (x or p) and do a little p&p work and drop in a speed density friendly cam. Then I'll do all the bolt on's and I should be in decent shape.
As for the 86, its a fun car, but I love the car so much that I want it to be perfect, and perfect is expensive.

I really love that style... the only thing i really hate about Fords in that era is the damn interior... Ugh blah!!! We need to get u some Corbeau racing seats and a new steering wheel and u will be set! LOL And you are right... perfect is too expensive... My cuz has a 79 El'Camino that looks sick on the inside and out but he spent around 12-15k just in accessories and add ons... Blew the 305 in it 2 times... so now he is gonna drop in a 383 stroker

Yeah, if I dont sell the 86 I'm just going to park it until ATLEAST next spring, which I DONT really want too do. I know a guy who was really interested in buying my 86 a few months ago, I'll probably see if he still wants it.
