Well even though i may have been busted for underage drinking on my block party it hasnt discouraged my ambitions for brewing my own beer...
About 1.5 weeks ago i brewed my first batch of beer for the summer. Happend to do a Kolsch, I think i carmelized the brew a bit so it wont be a really light golden color as most Kolsch beers are but hey what the hell, i like that Amber look. Anyway... I let it ferment out for about 5 days then transfered it over to the secondary in my glass carboy and now its fermenting slowly and the yeast is beginning to drop out and clarify... 1.5 more weeks in the glass carboy and then ill be set to bottle and condition it!!!
Went to my local brewery supply store and bought another kit and some other assorted brewing materials :) I will be brewing this weekend for another brew that is going to be great... I can tell cause its going to be a strong citrusy beer similar to Samuel Adams Summer ale... Hopefully by the time that it is done fermenting in the primary my Kolsch will be done in the secondary and it can be transfered in there...
Ah yest the joys of Beer making!
