an output is for....well...output! NOT input. there will have to be an aux input of some type.

Yea i was sure it wouldnt work.. But the thing is it only has the output RCA's.. Doesn't have any other RCA connections.. So i was wondering if there is possibly another way of connecting my mp3 to the HU without using those FM transmitters.. Thanks for the help

Sorry to be the one to break it to ya, but you bought the low end Panasonic and it's not even MP3 compatable for disc playback...
I'm not putting ya down, just letting ya know that these units are the entry level to Panasonic and basically made as a slightly better than stock replacement and if you want an iPod interface, you need to step up to the CQ-C1305U with the front input jack.

hate to break it to ya mike but it WILL play mp3's....it doesnt lay claim to it but it does......had one on my display board and all my demo discs are mp3 format and ive found that the panasonics and pioneers that dont claim to play mp3 will play it they just dont advertise the fact

not the most hi -end solution but it works, wal-mart sells an fm adapter for mp3 players. You hook it to the mp3 player and it plays thru fm frequencies, 2 different ones, not the highest sound quailty but it works.. there about $20.

sorry, just saw your post about the transmitter, Well they work ok, I've used them before. Not the greatest, but cheaper than a new h/u..

But yea only was wondering if there was some kind of adapter to run more RCA's kind of like the pioneer ipod adapter.. something in the lines of that..just want to connect my ipod to it. any suggestions? or is it just not possible??.. And yes in the future ill step up to a better one.. Thanks guys

Yeah I know, but they have problems with some MP3s, so I just make sure to warn people that they aren't actually set up for MP3 playback.
As for the Panasonic unit itself and an adapter... I don't know of one, unless there is some way to make a PAC OEM adapter work on it, but I don't know... Hey Terry, ever try that interface with any aftermarket H/Us?

cant happen, those oem interfaces only work if you have a factory head unit that will control other factory options that you dont have like satellite radio or cd changer, then it takes that option and makes it what you plug into the adaptor
