sub problem

Post by hartman »

i have a ssl amp and a fusion sub and sometimes the sub only works on accessory and not when its running. then today the sub just starts popping with out the radio on and sometimes when you hit the brakes it will pop and the dash lights for water temp and oil started flashing when they arent even low and sometimes when you roll the windows down it pops alot. so what is my problem and how can i fix it?

well thats definitely not a sub problem.....it sounds like a wiring problem for sure but damned if i know what it could be...take a good look at your battery ground, sometimes a bad ground under the hood can make weird things happen

Its most definitely a wiring issue.

Usually when you have a wiring issue its with a ground, as Terry pointed out.

yea thats a horrible place for a ground, ground the amp to the trunk floor by sanding the paint away and using either a pilot hole and really good screw or by using a nut and bolt
