Well i found this artical in a magazine called "georgia". I im very intersted in this... Its a certificate program to be a Lineworker's apprentice for eletric companys. The program will cost about 1700$ because i would need to stay at the college. So what im gunna do is go down to a local eletic comapny...which is pretty big and ask them if i work for them after this program will they pay for my schooling.....oh btw the college is South Georgia Technical college they campus is pretty big and awesome looking...

Definately sounds like an option, but don't be shocked if the local electric company says "You want us to do what? :surprised , we might give ya a job pending your grades, but we're not payin ya to learn." Not too many places will pay for the schooling anymore... but it is definately a feild worth considering as electricians are needed in many areas.

you should contact the financial aid office of that school, you may be able to go for very cheap, or free if you can score some scholarships. here in SC you can get all kinds of scholarships, or plus lottery funding. on top of that, based on your income you might be able to get pell grants

What you need to do is inquire about apprenticeships.

I have yet to succeed in life, but heres my thoughts on education.

High school drop outs- the ones that never graduate. Your doomed to shit work period...

High School graduates- Can get lucky and land some alright jobs. Learn a trade, make $18/hr or so. Get lucky, get into an automotive job making $25+/hr...

Some College- Where Im at. Opens many doors, but raises MANY questions. Mainly, why didnt you finish... Can get decent jobs, but never "professional" ones.

College Grad- That degree is the difference between making $13/hr and making $27/hr. Ive been in that position before- bitch of it was I could do more and faster than the $27/hr guy...

Apprenticeship- Maybe your best bet. You can make good jack if you get in the right areas... Electrical of about any type.

well i half agree wit that ryan.

i feel that i could be in the same exact position i am in today (college student) if i'd of dropped out of highschool. i could of dropped out in 11th grade, got my GED, started my current college spring semester, and probably would have graduated by now... its just that most highschool drop outs don't do it to college faster, they're just slack.

GED is a diploma equivalent.

There are some people out their that are not smart enough to pass such a test or just dont have the desire. These are the people that will always be stuck in the shit jobs ;)
