Looking for a dealer

Post by captaincheesey »

Just as the title says. TC Sounds dealer to be specific. I don't know if they sell stuff other than on their site so I wanted to come here and try to find one. If they don't then I will go through their site. Along with trying to find a dealer, I want to know what everyone thinks about their subs? Specifically the 3000. Theoretically, how loud would a TC 3000 get in the trunk of a car running on 1100 watts in a 3 cubes net ported box tuned to around 32-35 hz?

ruff estimate very ruff because its to difficult to get accurate probably around 135-139 at resonant. and i believe TC is direct only.

Ah, so no chance of me breaking 140 in there? That's a bitch. Thanks for the info though. Oh forgot to note that I am going with a 15 instead of a 12. Don't know if that will change anything.

for one, trunk cars are harder to get louder. For 2, you are puting it into a daily setup box.... not huge peak in the responce curve so this means it will sound good and be loud overall. TC is direct only, but they make drivers for other manufacturers... where you might be able to get a better price, but i am not for sure on the prices of the other companies. Sure you could break a 140, but you only have 1k to work with. But, numbers are very hard to guess, too many variables involved. And really, unless you are upgrading your power, power a lower line sub better.... like a tc9 driver.

Well it's mainly the coil config that kills me. It is a quad 2 coil, and I am gonna be using my 1606, 1100 at 2 ohms, which I think is oone of the configs for it? Also the RMS on the 3000 on the site said 1000 so it would be sufficently powered, unless TCs are known for being able to take a signifcant amount of extra power?

Yes, the ratings listed by them are very conservative. They just dont want some kid give it 2k watts that are clipping to all hell.... that will probably kill the sub. Now 2k of clean watts, it will take it. Just make sure you take care of that amp.
