Officially, the Government sucks ass! They cut all contract instructor positions today. There are about 10 of us without jobs...and I don't know where I am going to get income that can sustain us.
We are through.

Hey man, seriously I feel the same way.
I was a Diesel Mechanic working for roughly 16 dollars an hr. Then went to a B.S. shop where I had to work 150+ hrs a week to make my bills.
I'll be honest I haven't really been looking for a job that hard and thats going to change monday. I am currently trying to shed some lbs/body fat to join the Air Force (ya'll all know that story). I'm just letting you know I feel your pain.
What do you have experience in?
Do you have a degree?
What expected salary are you looking for?
Willing to relocate?
Maybe some people here can help you out with advice/jobs.

ouch man that sucks. The only way i'm going to be able to get a job without moving is basically government contracts, so i'll know about that in a while.

Wow, don't take this the wrong way but man did I screw up
You were making 75k! just teaching that OS stuff.
Wow, I so went the wrong way in life, I should have gotten certified back 4 years ago and then I could be making a little. Wow.
I'll keep an eye out, my mom works in IT so I can ask her for some idea's.

Not to dig on a sore subject, but whats the prospect with that other job you were waiting on a call? I figured I just missed the post?
That sucks Joe. Its hard times now everywhere.
I just lost my contractor position and had to a take a salary position and lost some money per week in the process. Oh, and they also expect me to work more hours
So are you laid off, or your contract just "expired" and you cant get unemployment?
I know around here, if you are unemployed and deemed a "misplaced" worker they will pay you to goto college... Im sure you wouldnt make $65K a year, but if you could fly through college testing out of everything you could get degreed quickly.
What about teaching at a college?

Actually, since Michael Dell retook over his company, he put a hiring freeze nationwide for 30-60 days.
so no Dell for me right now. Couldn't teach at a college, no college degree.
