Sony CDX-GT40W vs. Pioneer DEH-3900MP

Well I got a Sony CDX-GT40W for free from a friend, has the box/all materials. Should I return it to walmart and get the Pioneer DEH-3900MP , or is this a better deck? On sale the Sony is ~$150 and at regular price the Pioneer is ~$128. They both have ipod adapters available (which I will be getting since I can no longer use my alpine cd changer).
What do you guys think?

definatly pioneer, and if you can, get the deh4900, has a couple more convinant options that the 3900 doesnt

so the cheaper pioneer is better in all aspects?

im about to go to walmart, so I should definitely do this? it just seems like im going from a middle of the line sony to a bottom of the line pioneer??

I would definitely go with the Pioneer over the Sony anyday.

Pioneer > Sony. Plain and simple. Better quality HU, better built.

ended up getting the pioneer deh-p4900IB . it's pretty sweet.
