okay so zeroaccess's thread has got me thinking here... i really want to focus on school. as long as i'm in school, i don't have to pay rent. so all i have is car insurance (~200 a month) and car payment ($175 a month). i am considering working less, but i'm not sure how thats going to work.. after gas and other shit i'm basically goign to be broke all month. and my family doesn't keep much food in the house for some strange reason. if i could work 3 days a week, that'd be awesome.

how the hell do people go to college without working through it? where is all this magical money and loans and shit? i honestly have no clue how the hell i'm giong to make it through college - i have to be able to study and do homework. theres no way i'm giong to stay up until 3 am doing it, only to have to get up between 7 and 9 am the next day, so late night is out. right now i work 2-10 (in 2 weeks it'll be back to 2-11 every day but tuesday and thursday. t/th i go to school 9:45 AM to 1pm, 4:30pm to 9pm. because of this schedule my life is pretty shitty. most of my time im either at walmart or at school on my days off.. when i wake up i have like 2-3 hours before i have to goto work. fuck.


where do i find a student loan that i can partially live off of for a few months?

my wife works in the shoe department at Wal Mart and goes to school, but they worked around her school, she goes to school Mon-Thu. 3:45 to 6:15, she Fri-Sun. but her CNA classes are free.

If you're going to school fulltime, they can usually give you loans that pay for your housing, food, etc. I can't remember what they called them, but a couple of my friends get them. Talk to the financial people.

My friend (peice of shit (sarcasm lol, can ya tell I'm jealous)) gets paid 10,000 dollars a year to go to school, and thats after his tuition is paid. He gets 2,500 in loans and 7,500 in grants.

Financial Aid will become your friend, and sorry for making you think..I know it hurts sometimes

my problem is that i currently live with my father.. although when the cops find my sister's boy friend i've been offered to move in with her so that would work.

and seeing as i live with my father, he still claims me on his taxes - this makes it extremely hard to get FA but i'll look into the loan thing some more. apparently he "makes too much money" for me to get financial aid but in reality thats not true. and now he's married so its possible that his wife will fuck me on fafsa.

for some reason they have a warrent for his arrest. he's on probation and when he turns himself in or the cops find him, he's going to be put up for a while. according to the news and newspaper (who get their sht from crime stoppers), its his 3rd offesne (yet its his actual 2nd) which means he'd be locked up for a while... yeah, shitty situation. whats weird is that its for failure to appear. but he went to roll call and probation!

Tell your sister she can go to prison for housing a felon with a warrant.
It'd suck for her to go to prison too, just tell her to screw her boyfriend one good last time and then he has to turn himself in.

the best thing for him to do is to turn himself in... i havent been through this myself, but some of my personal friends and even family have.. a few years ago some of my family came down for Thanksgiving, everything was going great, then a state cop and town cop pull up.. knock on the door and have a warrant for my cousins arrest..now thats pretty $hitty.. but thats the price you pay.. on another occassion, some of my friends came over and they were all skateboarding on the street i live on, well a cop drives by, so we all get in my yard for him to pass, he drives by, pulls a U turn, parks in front of my house and arrests a friend of mine for a warrant.. i have some other stories, but you get the picture.... let me put it this way, the longer he waits, the worse it will get.. the best thing for him to do is to turn himself in.. instead of getting pulled over or being somewhere and getting arrested in front of everyone..
