stupid cold weather

What a great morning... (sarcasm intended)
So I go out to start up my car to go to work at my morning job and the stupid thing starts and stalls out (repeatedly)... I think the fuel line may be froze up... If and when it does start and keep running for a minute or two (with my foot on the gas)... it sounds irratic (not firing properly).
Now it's cold and dark outside and I'm done messing with it for a while since I'm freezing my ass off...
I'll wait till the sun comes up so at least I can see what I'm doing

I remember one time I stopped at 7/11 before work. I went back out to get into my car and the door had frozen shut. It took me like 10 minutes of wrenching the thing to get it open.
Then on my old truck (carbed), for some reason one morning it just had a hard time starting... Then the morning after that... And the morning after that... I'm like, wtf is going on here. One morning my dad was out there and I was like try to start it. Here, the linkage to the flaps that let air in was getting stuck open and wayyy too much air was coming in, so it wouldn't start. Good thing I had an Optima yellow top, or I woulda went through a lot of batteries trying to figure that out.

Well I'm pretty sure that it was fuel line freeze up with condesation in the tank now... starts, but won't stay running for long... I'm having my daughter stop over later so I can get up to Autozone and pick up some drygas and octane booster.

Sorry to hear about that. A trucker once told me about using one of those torpedo heaters to unfreeze gas lines of semi's that were at a truck stop, although I do not know how safe that would be.

In the past with old carburated cars... I've actually went out and got on the ground with a hair dryer to thaw out the system... But in all honesty... I'm a lil to old and tired for that now
And real funny Joe... You know I mean fuel line antifreeze (or maybe you don't)
