Dumbest wiring job ever

Okay I'm talking with this guy that installed fog lamps on his Jeep and he said he installed them as stated in the directions... In fact the switch install in the dash was really clean... but they wouldn't come on... So, take a closer look at it and you'll find that the guy wired it for positive into the fuse box... not bad, but just shoved the wire in a fuse (well it's a 12volt source), so that gets fixed, but they still don't work...
Next dig around under the car and you'll find that the wiring is ziptied to the frame (not a bad idea for securing), but i'm not talking about securing... I mean the guy actually ziptied the ground wires... OMG... (but there wasn't a bolt with it or a hole to mount it)... Are you kidding me! Nope.
So a lil hole gets drilled and the eyelet connected to the wire then use screw (provided in packaging).... double check everything else and flip the switch...
Well what do ya know... They Work.
This guy actually was thinking he had bought a bad set of fog lights... and should NEVER be let around a vehicle except to drive it :p

Thought all of you would appreciate the comedy of a true story :)

Man, and I thought that those people were only on tv. Those kind of people should never buy tools or work on anything that requires such. It was as good as my father in law telling me that the reason for the electric window not rolling up in his van was because the altinator was bad, and that went bad because of the fuel pump. I had to step back and just nod my head.

No, it is the windsheild switch that does that.

Well you're half right... the windshield switch covers it, unless it has air conditioning, then it's the power door locks :p

and yeah how in the hell he was able to buy the equipment at Autozone is beyond me... He must have had to go up to the counter and ask for it :p

But the most hilarious part was how Good a job he did installing the switch.

dont hate. i have a weak drill, when i went to ground my 8gauge wire for my amp, i couldn't get the drill to tighten the damn screws for shit... since i only had the car for 2 more weeks, i electrical-taped the ground to the trunk (BUT I STILL HAD THE SCREWS IN, THE TAPE WAS TO MAKE SURE THEY DIDN'T FLY OFF AND HIT THE POSITIVE)
shitty old drills with bad batterys ftl :(

i have had worse than that. i just love it when people replace a 20 or 15 amp fuse with a 40amp because the fuse kept blowing for their deck and then they wonder why wires are melted together.
