Hi guys,

I have two RE SE 12" subs which are both D4, so I need a good 1x1200wrms (@1ohm). Don't want more power as my little car won't handle it.

I'm looking to buy 2nd hand, and have been set on buying a Hifonics Brutus BXI1206D, but none have come up on eBay/forums recently.

What is a good/better alternative?? I'm looking to spend $200 max.

Any advice most appreciated.

Amps of similar quality would be Kicker kx1200.1, kicker sx1250.1, kicker zx1000.1, jbl gto1200.1, autotek mm1000.1.

There are plenty more out there, but those seem to be pretty mainstreem to catch a deal on. If you come across any 1000-1200rms amp that falls under atleast the good catagory of this list - http://www.caraudiocentral.net/forums/s ... d.php?t=32 it would be a good amp to purchase.

I like the size of the Hifonics, the Kicker is massive in comparison. I'll look into the JBL and Autotek (although much harder to find).

DEI makes one that you can get refurbished for cheap.

Elemental designs is an option.

u can still find some Viper 1200's on ebay.

ED not an option imo because of shitty CS DEI ok but the quality of the hifonics and autotek's is better. im not a fan of kicker so i wont go there lol. u need a class d amp and its better to have one than a pair so i would look at high eff. amps.

I'm pretty happy with my Orion 2500d (DEI), for whatever it's worth.

Orion is the upper echelon of dei. there is actually a dei brand amp now

Oh ok. Well there you go. You can get a 1200d (last time I checked) for like 300$ on EBay.
