Well i've been looking into my big setup for a while now..two tempests ported was the plan, but as time passes..my mind tends to change..the new Atlas 15 seems to be an all around better sub and with the price drop from A.A..they're only 10 bucks mroe than the tempest..I might just be goin w/ 2 Atlast 15's ported in the spring or summer. I found 4 RE8's BNIB for $145 plus shipping..which seems almost too good to pass up..i might just have to run 5 RE8's ported until i get more money for the Atlas' or Tempests. I got my W2 form today..those RE8's would defintely be loud..hmm. Any suggestions on what you would do?

i would go with the avalanches :fing02: but im guessing price is an issue, so a temporary set up i would definently go with a couple of RE 8's .

I played with Ascendant's Avalanche 18" in winISD. It really isn't worth it over an Adire Brahma 15". The cone is really too massive and takes too much to get moving, however, the sub does not peak as easily as the Brahma (flatter response). These are only my findings through winISD.

I wouldn't base too much off the ISD information..

its one of the worst (i.e. inaccurate) programs out..

if you have aim i/m paradigm sk8er...he's the one with the 8's..two of them have bent mounting plates from shipping, but that wouldnt be a problem because they'd straighten out when you screw them into the box.
