Hey, I asked a VERY long time ago about making a ported sub box for my 2 Resonant Engineering RE12s. Here is my initial sketch up plan using bcae1.com. These measurements include the 3/4 MDF. I don't plan on making a single LARGE box as I want to be able to take the boxes out easily when I go the track.

This is for PORTED enclosures.
Data Input:
Height? = 15 Inches
Width? = 16 Inches
Depth1? = 14 Inches
Depth2? = 18 Inches
If the above dimensions are OUTSIDE dimensions, enter the thickness of the wood below.

Wood Thickness? = .75 Inches
Speaker Displacement? = .1 Ft^3
Port Frequency? = 35 Hertz
Port Diameter? = 3 Inches
Number of Ports? = 1
Sq. Port Ratio H:W? = 1:1

Data Output:
Box Front Angle = 75.1 Degrees
Gross box volume = 1.543 Ft^3
Net box volume = 1.51 Ft^3
Port Length = 8.051 Inches
Port Area = 7.069 Inches^2
Port Volume = 0.033 Ft^3

Square Port Dimensions:
Height = 2.659 Inches
Width = 2.659 Inches

These specs are for their recent REs from their site. Do you guys think they'll be the same as the old REs? I bought em December of '05.

I bet the RE's are the same. I dont think anything was dramatically updated on their lines yet(besides the addition of new subs).

The only thing i see is that 1 3" port might not be sufficient for 2 12's. I know their are lower lines 12's, but i think you should go with 2 3" ports for the 2 subs.

And maybe Winisd might be a better tool for calculating port length because it seems as though bcae1 sized the port as a 3" diameter SQUARE port that is 2.6"x2.6"..... unless that is what you are planning on doing.
