Car Audio Central has been on the Internet now for over 7 years. Many people have come for help, for knowledge and for comradeship. We have weathered some difficult times in the past and the future is providing new and more difficult issues.

Car Audio Central is still relatively new forum on the Internet and is definitely a smaller one more focused on helping people in the hobby from a hobbyist standpoint.

Looking at other forums which are larger Ive noticed two distinct moderating styles.

The first in a no moderation site, like Car Audio Forum. Moderation is about non existent.

The second is highly moderated sites, such as ICX, Car Audio.com. Basically if what you are saying is not liked for whatever reason it is pulled.

Here at CAC we try to fuse both styles, which has worked very well- when everyone is on board. Everything has been fairly logical, and we try to maintain a fair and just moderation here.

This is no longer working.

Lately we have been having issues with all members across the board, regular members, Platinums and even Admins.

What we have here is a general breakdown of our system. Respect has been lost and attitudes have taken over. I have been with CAC for around 7 years now, I have invested countless hours helping develop this Forum, I will not let it go to hell.

At this point Im asking all of you, especially you pot stirrers, PLEASE consider your wording before posting. PLEASE quit stirring up trouble. The people that seem to be stirring up trouble have PLENTY of common sense, PLEASE use it. If you think its going to cause trouble, it probably will- so don't.

In effect immediately will be heavier moderating. Im asking Chris and William from NOLA to step up the Moderating effort a bit. If someone is stirring the pot, we WILL REMOVE YOUR SPOON. Continue the stir the pot, meet the temporary ban hamster.

This applies to everyone, including myself, Admins, Moderators, Platinum members and the regular members.

This forum is full of intelligent people, lets get it back on track and lets do it right. Joking is fine, but thats where it needs to stop. Us Admins/Mods need not abuse our powers or even use them if everyone stays within bounds.

Without sounding like a jerk or sarcastic may I ask what the rules are?
I'm assuming that use of common sense would be appropriate here. In all honesty I'm just wondering like some others may be wondering if I have crossed the line? I haven't been here very long but I do notice a good group of people when I see one and would prefer that I was not one to stir the pot so to speak. In all honesty I am not sure other than one particular thread where anything was said/done to offend anyone else. I don't mean to bring said thread into question to spark debate just figured with the last few days this turn of events seem to come out of no where.

All I can say is I appreciate all the advice/knowledge everyone here has shared and I hope I can too add to the advice/knowledge that can be shared one day. Thanks :)

Wow a lot of crap to write just to make sure I'm not in trouble lol...
I feel like a kid in the classroom when the teacher comes in all ticked off and your not sure who did what wrong but your thinking of ALL the bad stuff you've ever done in your entire life and wondering if it was you...

i think the problem here stems from an overabundance of moderation so to speak from a distinct 1 or 2 people......its hard to hold your tongue when the very people who are supposed to lead by example are essentiallly dragging to pot around saying "i dare you to stir it, ill stir it a little, just enough to piss you off and if you dont stir it too your a sissy" being a mod or admin should not give you the right to run off at the mouth or be as sarcastic and rude as you want.......i will admit to being a pot stirrer and please ryan, i dont want to know about the hamster, but anyway, i only stir when i see someone getting stepped on.....i will do my best to curb this and i realize its not my "job" to try and handle these situations but historically it has been the people whose "job" it is to handle situations like this creating the very situation that makes my blood boil......

One Admin hasnt been around in a month?

The other currently does not have Admin/Mod powers anymore.

I agree with what was said. After that line got crossed the attitudes took over.

Its time to reclaim the board and get it back on track.

So changes have been made, and sadly without Chris (he is MIA at the moment?) so more change are to come.

I was told I may have to do the big 3..I was wondering what that is
And can you recomend just an amp for those I was going to get the MegaBass Monster Amp off Ebay for 100 bucks it says its good for 100,000 [email protected] ohms.

Ok. My turn. Along with terry Im a pot stirrer I know it and I know most of you do. I do my best to help people on this forum and keep my nonsense to a minimum. Now Im sure you all know ive cause some shit and started trouble but I did it in the best interest of the forum. Im going to question someone when I think there being rude inconsiderate or just being an asshole and if you ban me for it so be it. When I first came here I watched countless newb’s come to this forum and get bashed for there grammar (it happened to me) or this or that and to me its bullshit. Get off you god damn pedestal and be a god damn human being and ask politely for the person to correct there post. Secondly if your going to bitch about peoples language u better be damn sure you’re not swearing as well. No it may not be my place to bitch at these people but that’s to bad I don’t care if you’re a mod or Jesus Christ if you’re acting like an ass Im going to tell you so. I love this forum and it would be a shame if this turned into a nazi forum.

I honestly thing everyone's going a little overboard here. Why are people leaving? Remember you're on the INTERNET. Have a little fun. Sometimes we have a little TOO much fun with the language and whatnot. Big deal. Ryan comes in says clean it up and we go onto the next thread. End of story.
I don't know what happened between anyone on here (it's irrelevant), but I can't see what all these threads about people being a-holes is about. Everyone needs to take a chill pill and enjoy this for what it is. We all participate here to help each other out in the hobby that we all love.
