hey guys im going to buy myself a christmas present and i want to buy a new woods gun. i have all kinds of fancy toys but most i wont take into the woods because im scared of getting them all banged up. im looking for a shot gun most likely a combo Slug/Shot. for around 350 im looking at the remington 870 express combo i can snag it for like 349. im also looking at the benelli nova for 300 but id have to get a rifled barrel to go with it.

I saw some of those Benelli's... I didn't really care for them, their cocking mechanism didn't look too sturdy, I saw one or two that were loose. Might be better off with the Remington.

thats the thing im worried about with the benellis i know there good guns and there proven. most people complain of insane kick. its a little odd for the bennelli to be selling a gun that cheap when most of there guns are like 1.5k plus. ive never been a fan of Remington but im not sure what else to go with. maybe a mossberg. not sure though.

Its not only a gun its an alarm system :)
My dads real big into guns ...me I don't know a rifle from a pistol but I can shoot pretty darn good. Other than that my knowledge of guns is crap. I'll try and ask him what a good one would be.

Winchester Shotgun would work
Remingston 870 is a good gun according to my dad
Benelli my dad says is an ugly gun but the name Benelli is quality stuff. He's not sure about their lower line but he knows the name and says their damn good.
Was wondering if your going to get a full or modified choke?

Thats funny. Those are the same 2 guns I have been considering. Just have to wait till I have a little extra cash.
