So i've been half-sick for the past week or so (atleast). I blame it on the 30-40 degree drop in temp we had last night.. i've felt shitty since tbhen.. gah. I hate winter for this. fucking stuffy nose. dry/almost sore throat, a few coughs,

to make it worse my ear is being an asshole.

and i have to take my truck into the shop today to have it checked out scurrry cause i know theres a problem somewhere.

your ear is being an asshole? how is that working out? if you get constipated do you get an earache?

Think about it though Terry, it would be much easier to wipe, and if you have a q-tip, you can really clean it out.

At least it's not ball joints :)
I know what you're saying about colds. For some reason, I get a TON of them, especially when winter rolls around. Ear aches in specific.

if anyone knows.. do i have to replace the hubs to replace the wheel bearings? or can i just do the wheel bearings. that'd save me $ 400 for sure.

On my Blazer, I only had to replace my wheel bearings, not the hubs. Go to Advance Auto or somewhere and pick up a Haynes manual for your vehicle. Will tell you anything you will ever need to know about it and it's only like 15$. Wheel bearings are pretty cheap (from what I remember) so you could probably just do it yourself. Save the labor.

yeah, i got the haynes manual.
the guy at the shop i took it to said he'd replace the hubs, ishould of asked but if i don't have to i'm not. i can get the wheel bearings for under $100 a peice.. around $60 each plus i'm sure theres a few other things they'll need... if i can replace the hubs in a few months and just do the bearings now.. that'd be great.

Bearings are really easy I do them on big trucks all the time (Semi's)
Haven't done one on a blazer but it'd probally be easier. Just make sure you do the correct tq's and you shouldn't have a problem.
Get a 2nd opinion on the hub, I know in Semi's they have the bearing and a race that the bearing rides in. If the bearings are worn and heat up and get brittle they'll flake/shatter off and ruin the races/hub. If its just starting to go you can replace the bearings and races (yours may be different) and have no problems at all.
A Hub is not something you want to play around with because eventually it can cause HUGE problems down the road.
Sorry my knowledge on your particular vehicle is VERY limited if you can find a haynes/edmunds manual online or scan me some pics I can probally tell you everything you need to do.
