How much would you pay for a JL 500x1 Amp.
and how much for 2 12W3s in a JL box.

uh the amp? probably 450$-500$....
i paid 375$ for my 300/4...and that was from an unauthorized dealer, ever since then, i've bought authorized. its worth it.
im not too familiar with JL subs so i cant tell ya.

them amps are bad.. they put out more than 500rms too.. but a little overpriced i think... id pay about $700 i guess. ofcourse id probably get Adire or RE because ive heard all JL has to offer and everyone has it in my town and im tired of it... but none the less its still good stuff. you'd be Pretty happy with it... friend of mine had three 12" W3V2's powered off a 500/1 it was pretty nice... then he got three more and another 500/1!.. then he sold the subs and got six 12" Comp Vr's... he is always changin his system around...
