i am gonna be getting a new deck for christmas...but cant decide what to get..i was looking around and i saw this
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid ... ST&cpc=HPM
it is very cheap compared to others..and a little more than i would spend on a non dvd player..
it says that it has a usb port..but i cant tell where it is..and it has a usb chord (assuming that i am seeing what i think , the chord looks to be a reg. size end to a smaller size end) but whats the point of having a chord??
the things i want/need in a new deck is:
-detachable
-remote control
-usb port (front would be best)
and this has a dvdplayer/screen so that's a plus.. has anyone heard of this or have one?
your input will be helpful
thanks

it looks like and i am sure it is a big P.O.S. and you would be wasting your money. it dosnt even have a brand name. what kind of cdplayer are you looking for and what options? id suggest a panasonic mxe or JVC arsenal if your on a tight budget.

Pioneer,Alpine, and some Clarion units I think are good
I was looking at a Pioneer earlier that SonicElectronix.com had for the same price as the one you have listed. Its not a tv/dvd and all that buts its a great head-unit with all the features you should need for a long time.

If your budget is tighter than that check these out they still offer great tuning capabilities at a budget.

Believe it or not I actually know which h/u that is.
It's a Legacy... Now for the bad news. Legacy's are not known for performance or durabulity, so please stay clear of that... especially when you get a company trying to pawn it off as something better by not listing the brand name of it.
If you gotta have a dvd/ video unit I'd rather see you go with Pyle View than Legacy... Best bet for a good reliable dvd/ video h/u would be Scarells suggestion... Jensen :)

You get what you pay for.

Ponder that diddy for a bit.

Smoker had a HELL of a DVD setup for like $300? Had a screen, dvd, two sets wireless headphones... All kenwood...

So what your getting at is you want it all, but you want it for next to nothing?

Look into Dual, its probably right up your alley.

Keep in mind, you get what you pay for.

Until that sinks in, well lets just hope that sinks in very quickly. Otherwise your going to have a long road ahead...

A lot of those have the detachable face and remote in fact I think they all did.
What are you wanting the USB port for?

i never said i had to get a cheap one asshole.

yeah i want a usb port because it seems easier.. i mean if i dl a song ,,,and i want to listen to it in my car...theres really no point of burning a cd with 1 song on it... so i just add it to my usb card and bam i can listen to it.

but idk there is also this option

(it has built in 1gb memory)
