Well I went back into my morning job this morning at Menards and told them they lost a few sales. Even the GM thought it was funny when I told him we bought out Home Depot's supply of fiberglass matting (cuz we don't carry it), not to mention the 4 gallons of resin and 5-6 tubes of hardener... hopefully the store buyers see this and start to carry it.
So for all that like to save money that have a Menards near by... Stop in and ask for fiberglass mat and a gallon of resin, so that the demand is so high that they have to carry it :)
I hate payin Home Depot's prices for this stuff and Walmart is the same price

ahh you need to get the good stuff. go to a marine shop or a fiberglass manufature place. dirt cheap mat/resin and the best you can buy. i was getting it for 8 bucks a gallon with hardner and ~30 yrds of mat for 10 bucks.

At the Home Depot here, a gallon of Resin is 35-40. I should go shop around to see what price everyone sells it at for my new Jeep build

Problem is, even though we sit right on the lake (erie) and the maumee river, there aren't that many places around here for marine shops... unless you wanna drive all the way up to Point Place and that's about a 40-50min drive one way through town on the other side of town (I could make it up to Detroit in that amount of time)

I may have to look around here... there's either a boat manufacturer or a marina every three feet it seems.
