So I pick my truck up from the exhaust shop and I notice it doesnt really sound that good. I figured something was up so I drove over to my cousins house and took a look up the truck... and guess what?

I told them to use a high flow cat, flowmaster org 40 series, and a nice tip (decided to go with a slighty bigger single exhaust).

They did everything right but used a flow pro instead of the flowmaster...

Needless to say I was pretty p*ssed because I paid for the flowmaster, which was about 70 bucks more... I got back in my truck and went straight back there...

Me: I thought we agreed on flowmaster org 40 series?

Him: Yeah, we sure did... and?

Me: You used a knock off flow pro!

Him: You're kidding, right? (not to convining)

Me: Go look and get it fixed:

He goes out there and looks and tells me to bring it back in the morning...

Ahhh, this cause me to get about 3 hours of sleep before work, ahhh...

Tomorrow he better get it fixed right or to the bbb I go...

makes you wonder how many times they've done that?

not that everyone has this option available to them, but I had my work done by someone I know personally, while I watched, so I knew it was all done properly.
I supplied everything but the mandrel bent tubing as well.

or even better, even fewer people will have this option, do it yourself......i have 2 different welders, cutting torches and everything but the pipe bender but a buddy of mine has that......

So I take it back there yesterday at 8am yesterday like requested, when I get there hes like "uh, youre going to kill me, but I'm not going to be able to get to it until 9:30am because some guy just bought his truck in at needs it done before 930."

I just got done working from 5:45pm to 6:45am and was tired because I had been up for 38 hours at that point and so I was to tired to argue so I said whatever and left..

9:30 rolls around and I'm going on 40 hours w/o sleep and when I get there hes like... "uh, youre going to kill me, I just put my last flowmaster on that guys truck... Uh, I ordered some more but they wont be in until monday..."

Im so sleepy and pissed I dont even know what to do. So I just shake my head and walk out the door...

If he doesnt have it monday Im filing a complaint with the bbb and will take him to small claims court... I rather just take it to another shop and have them do it and take him back his sh*t that he put on and get a refund...

That's crap that he put that guys truck before yours... He should fix his screw ups before screwing up somebody elses... I would complain anyway as yours is already paid for and now you have to wait.... whatever happened to first come first serve... Wait till he does the work and file your complaint and even worse tell everyone you know that he's shiffty... word of mouth can make you or break you so break him....

explain the difficulties he's caused you, and ask for a refund on the labor.

Yea def. You went out of your way twice already to get back to his shop because HE screwed up your order. He didn't even have the courtesy to call you ahead of time and be like, I don't have the stuff to do the job.

Flow pro, yuck... I just want what I paid for, and maybe giving a little for my time... I think thats fair, after all he charged me for his time.. I think thats the point I'll make!

You definately deserve something for your time. I've done that before to a company that wasted my time. I sent them a bill for 150.00 for the two hours of my time they wasted (at the time I charged 75.00 and hour for what I did for a living) they didn't pay it and I thought about pursuing the matter but I did receive a store credit and I think they got my point.
